Richard Denton, the creator of the 2D version of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, and better known as "Dampe" around the net, was killed friday when he was struck by a car. Apparently, the road was wet, the car slid and Dampe was struck and rendered unconscious at the scene. He died later at the hospital; he was 15. According to the police report the car that struck him was not speeding and no alcohol or drugs were involved. Apparently it was just a very very sad freak accident.

We send our condolences to Richard's family and friends and his girlfriend. Reportedly his last known words were an "I love you" to her.

At the request of his family, the game, the official OoT2D webpage as well as the forums are closed. The future fate of the game itself remains undecided at this time.

A video from late last year shows the game in action.

To Dampe, I want to thank you for your hard work and passion, hopefully you know just how many people were inspired by your talent and efforts. You will be sorely missed.

Playing Card Games - brain power to the max

Like to play card games on the net? Many who are into strategy games and action games also enjoy card games because they combine both elements of mathematical precision and the ability to be aggressive in order to defeat the opposition.

There are many forms and variations of card games that can be played online. One of the most popular one’s is texas hold’em. Poker is either played through small flash card games or at the tables in the many poker rooms out there, like Full Tilt and PartyPoker. Our recommendation is that before you hit the tables and start going head-to-head with the big sharks, try out freeroll poker where you can play poker for free without having to cash up for the game. If you enjoy extreme action fueled games then poker is the thing for you.
